The 34-year-old Jose Maria Gutierrez Hernandez was born in Madrid on October 31, 1976. 

He joined Real Madrid’s professional side from the team’s youth organization in 1995-96 season and played 15 seasons for the lavender and white with 46 goals in 387 matches. During all these seasons, he won 15 cups, which included 5 league titles, 4 Spanish cups, 3 Champions’ League trophies and one European Super Cup. Besides appearing in numerous international matches for Spain, he lifted the Continental Cup twice.  

 The left-footed offensive midfielder is known for his accurate passing and deadly crosses from both flanks.
