“As everyone saw tonight; we dominated the match from start to finish. We could’ve scored more goals but failed to convert some close chances. Nevertheless, I am satisfied with our overall performance. Let’s not forget, this is our first official match of the new season. We’ll get better as the season moves along. 

When asked about playing with 5 forwards upfront, the German manager replied, “Coming into the match, we knew they would stay close to their goal; so we decided to field as many forwards as possible, and our tactic had worked. This doesn’t mean that we are going to play like this in every match, but, in general, we are an offensive team and we’d like to keep the ball away from our net as far as we can.”
