The surgery was performed by the Prof. Op. Dr. Melih Hulusi Us and Prof. Dr. Fürüzan Numan.  Mr. Denizli will back with the team next week.

The surgeons Melih Hulusi Us and Fürüzan Numan held a press conference after the surgery and briefed the public about his medical condition.

Melih Hulusi Us: “A few years ago, we spotted clogging in Mr. Denizli’s veins. Ten days go, we noticed that it got worse and decided to perform an angio on him. We set the surgery for today because of his busy schedule. Using the traditional method, we inserted a catheter through his groin and cleaned the clogged veins. The surgery was a success, and he will be back to his work in a few days. By removing the clogging we prevented the future tearing of his veins. He is in intensive care right now. He will stay here for a day and be discharged tomorrow. If everything goes right, we expect him to be back with his team by the start of next week. This surgery will enable him to perform better at his work. From now on, he will live a healthier and fuller life.”  

Fürüzan Numan: “I’d like to make it clear for everyone that Mr Denizli’s surgery has nothing to do with his heart. There is nothing wrong with Mr. Denizli’s heart. We only removed clogging in his veins that supply blood to his kidneys. We did not clean his coronary arteries.”  
 
Beşiktaş’s newly elected Board Member Mete Düren also commented on Denizli’s medical condition.” This surgery should be considered as a minor operation. They removed clogging of his veins possible caused by smoking. Let’s hope he gives up smoking after this surgery. There is no need to be alarmed. He will be back with us in no time,” said Mr. Düren.
