The home team opened the game on a 6-0 run, but the Black and White battled back behind consecutive threes from Cevher Özer and Mire Chatman to pull ahead, 9-6, three minutes into the first quarter. Then Baxter began to dominate the boards on both ends of the court and helped Beşiktaş Cola Turka take a 27-24 advantage after one. Antalya Municipality looked much better early in the second quarter and went on to establish a six-point, 40-34, lead at the halfway mark. However, the Black Eagles would not go down without a fight as an array of three-pointers by Cevher Özer and Engin Atsür saw them erase the gap entering the last minute of the first half. Then Cevher Özer’s buzzer-beater 3-point shot from 30 feet out gave Beşiktaş Cola Turka a 49-48 edge before going into the locker room at intermission.
The teams continued to match each other basket for basket in the third, with the Black and White staying in front for most of the quarter until Caner stepped out and made a couple of late layups, which pushed Antalya ahead, 70-67, after three hard-fought periods of play. Thanks to a string of unanswered buckets by Thompson and Jackson, the home side Antalya began to pull away from Beşiktaş Cola Turka in the fourth as it held a comfortable 10-point cushion at 88-78 heading into crunch time. The red and white team was never threatened in the closing stages and finished with an impressive 96-82 victory.
